As a professional photographer, specialized in SPORTS, LIFESTYLE & PEOPLE,  I studied for a B.A. & M.A. in Photography @ FOLKWANG UdK (Essen/Germany).

Born and raised in the Ruhr area, I was early drawn by the great outdoors. I started to climb mountain peaks as a young boy, travelled the world with a pack on my back and felt home in the circles of like-minded people. My enthusiasm for any kind of sports or movements was always unbroken: I love the crackling forest floor under the tires of a mountain bike, the feeling of small rocky edges that press into fingertips, the moment of weightlessness in the fresh powder, the seclusion of a hiking trip or the peaceful silence when fishing. Being a proud dad and a nerdy coffee lover, I love my job as a photographer and am happy to laugh with athletes and models during the production, whether photographing in a factory building, during a break in an office or next to a warming bonfire.

My pictures tell of a before and after and are the visual expression for a feeling of being part of the scene – in short: they are authentic.
